The silent auction featured original pieces of art created by local artists using old library furniture, books, and equipment.
Monica Weber covered this old book stand with cut stained glass pieces to achieve the tromp l'oeil effect of a three-dimensional book with quotations of Benjamin Franklin and Groucho Marx on what is, in fact, a completely flat surface.
